What members say after a year of reading
Members are mostly working makers, students finishing a qualification, and a few gallery people who want to know how the work in the room was actually built. Their notes below come from the annual reader survey and from letters sent to the studio.

Who keeps a subscription
Around 60 percent of members are practising makers, another quarter are students, and the rest are gallery staff, archivists and collectors who want the sourcing notes rather than the finished object. Most renew after their first year, which for an independent title with no outside backing is the number that matters.
